Preparing your photograph for the SSC Stenographer Grade C & D exam? Your photo appears on the admit card for the computer-based test and again for the stenography skill test, so it needs to be clear, recent and correctly formatted. Getting the dimensions, aspect ratio and KB size right on the first try saves you from last-minute form errors near the deadline.

1. Choose a recent photo with a plain light background, facing forward, without spectacles or cap.
2. Upload it to the editor.
3. Crop so your face is centred and fills most of the frame.
4. Set 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm (width × height) or the size in your notification.
5. Type a target of 40 KB to stay comfortably inside 20–50 KB.
6. Download the JPEG and upload it to the SSC form.
