Why Your SSC CPO Signature Needs Resizing

Aspiring Sub-Inspectors for Delhi Police and the CAPFs must upload a scanned signature that matches SSC's file-size and dimension rules exactly. A raw phone photo is often 2–4 MB, includes half a sheet of paper, and has a grey tint from indoor lighting. The SSC portal will either refuse it or accept an image that looks poor on your admit card.

Our resizer crops out the paper, resizes to the required dimensions and compresses to your chosen KB value. It works entirely in your browser, so your signature never touches a server.

Step-by-Step: SSC CPO Signature Upload

  1. Sign three or four times on white paper with a black pen and choose the cleanest one.
  2. Take a straight-on photo near a window. Avoid flash, which creates glare on the ink.
  3. Upload it here and crop tightly around the signature.
  4. Type in the width and height from the SSC CPO notification.
  5. Set your target KB, for example 15 KB, to land comfortably inside the 10–20 KB range.
  6. Download the JPEG and upload it in the signature field of your application.

Tip: if the paper looks grey, increase the brightness slightly before compressing. A whiter background usually gives a smaller, crisper file.

Mistakes That Get SSC CPO Signatures Rejected

  • ✗ Signing in CAPITAL letters, which SSC notices have said is not accepted
  • ✗ File size outside the 10–20 KB window
  • ✗ Faint, blurred or partly cut-off strokes
  • ✗ Uploading a photo of yourself in the signature field, or vice versa

Keep the same signature for the exam centre and document verification. Confirm all specifications in the current SSC CPO notification on ssc.gov.in.
